Lamb Dhansak

100g red lentils
250g carrots cut the chunks
2 onion sliced
1 tin chopped tomato
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp dhanya powder
2 tsp cardamon seeds
2 tsp garam masala
3 red chilli's sliced
2 tsp crushed ginger
2 tsp crushed garlic
1 lb lamb cubes
coriander to garnish

Add all of the above (except for the lamb, garlic, chilli and ginger) to a pot and add water just enough that it covers the ingredients and simmer for about 25-30 min. In a separate add 2 tbsp of oil, add the rest of the ingredients and cook until meat is nearly cooked then add this to the lentils and cook until the meat is fully cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves.
